    NOTE: You can visit this thread for a guide on how to back up data on the HTC One X10.

    Restore App Data:

    1. Ensure the HTC One X10 is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup and reset” > “Restore from HTC Backup”
    5. Follow the on-screen steps to select a backup account and complete the process

    Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts & sync”
    4. Sign in with the desired Google backup account
    5. Go to the account’s sync options and ensure “Contacts” is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the HTC device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC One X10 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media Device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Finder on the Mac
    4. Locate the desired media backup files and copy them
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage by dragging the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it into the “Trash can”
    7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
