Restore Contacts From the SD Card:

  1. On the home screen, tap “Apps”
  2. Open “Contacts”
  3. Press “Menu” > “Import / Export” > “Import from SD card”
  4. Select the location where you want to restore the contacts
  5. The phone will now search for vCard files. Select the one you want to import

Restore Media Files

Using Your Phone:

  1. Tap “Apps”
  2. Open “Photos”
  3. If this is the first time opening the app (say, after a master reset), tap “Sign in” and follow the on-screen steps to register your Google account
  4. Select to perform backups over “Wi-Fi only” or “Wi-Fi and mobile networks”, then tap “Turn on”

Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Kyocera Hydro Wave to the computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and tap “Touch for other USB options” > “Media device (MTP)”
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to view the phone’s files and folders
  4. Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your computer
  5. Copy the files and transfer them back to your phone storage
  6. After the transfer is done, click the “Mass Storage Device” icon in the system tray and eject the phone storage
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Using a Mac Computer:

  1. If necessary, open the Internet browser on the Mac, visit https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ and download the app
  2. Open “androidfiletransfer.dmg”
  3. Drag “Android File Transfer” to “Applications”
  4. Connect the Kyocera Hydro Wave to your Mac via USB. Make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
  5. Double-click “Android File Transfer” on the Mac
  6. Browse the desired files and folders, and use “drag > drop” to restore your files from the Mac to the phone
