I am having this problem with my sons phone. The phone is in car kit mode, he cant recieve calls or call out. The phone is on and works otherwise. This is an LG VX3200 phone. When I called Verizon the tech said that this is a software defect with this model. He said to take it to a verizon store and they could fix it by plugging and unplugging a car kit into the jack and getting this mode to turn off . I already had one so I tried it and it didn't work. Called back and had another tech tell me that this was a software defect and that I was eligble for a new phone 1 week by mail or just take it to a Verizon store. At the store they said the phone had gotten wet and there was nothing they could do about it. The Tech at the store claimed he could see corrosion in the jack on the bottom of the phone, although he would not show me where he was seeing this. He said that the strip on the battery that was no longer black indicated the phone had gotten wet, there is no corrosion on any of the contacts inside the phone at all so it obviously did not get very wet and when I looked into the jack on the bottom of the phone with a flashlight at home I could see no corrosion in the jack, just silver metal. Called verizon again when I got home and had yet another tech tell me it was a software defect and to go to my local Verizon store for a new phone! I think I am being jacked around. Anyone else having this problem with the LG phone and Verizon?
