I am new here as well. You could try BITPIM (newest version is 8.0) at the following location :

    http://www.bitpim.org/#download

I found out about this software hoping I could get my C1300i to work..but it might help you. Let me know if it works out.

I also have the same problem

I purchased my LG Vx6000 at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/dacaforlgvx.html and it only came with the cable and the link to download the program at http://home.netvigator.com/~jcorp9/dku5 and that isn't even a program that works. Have tried also downloading the Bitpim at www.bitpim.com and the program pops up, but it says that it doesn't read my phone, as if my phone isn't connected. Have been having issues with this for a while. Please help me figure this one out. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jenny, I am new here but I did some searching and I found an entry by Plain Shane.
According to Shane version .62 works on the VX6000. What version are you using?

I am hosting this, because people seem to have trouble putting .mp3's to their VX6000 using BitPim .7x and .6x and this version is made for the VX6000. I do it easily, without dragging and dropping. If you have a LG VX6000 use this version.

I too have the C1500 phone and I've tried DataPilot, MobSync and at least 6 others that I've scoured the net for. Nothing will let me add more backgrounds or ringtones to the phone through a usb cable.

If it helps anyone determine how I can get this to work for me, the cable has two numbers on it: LG C1300 and KQ-U8A

And I can't believe that LG made a phone and didn't put a simple ring on it... just a bunch of dumb ringtones and lame backgrounds!!

So... has anyone solved this issue? I sure could use this software...
    Thanks everyone,
    Dennis
