Mp3 transfer to phone. Need some help.

I set everything up with my vx8100 and mediaplayer 10 with a playlist and the device to sync to. Was wondering how long it took to download to the phone. I've watched it for like 10 minutes now and it hasnt converted 1%. Am I doing something wrong? Or should i just do it at night when i sleep. The guy at the store said it was like fast and easy.

you are trying to download entire mp3's to your phone's memory and not to a memory card??

I don't recall right off hand, but the amount of allocated memory the phone has set aside for mp3's is very limited. You may be able to get 5 songs on it....somebody will probably post the right amount that actually has the phone.

I strongly suggest buying a memory card for your phone and a card reader if your computer doesn't have one build into it already.

Then it's just a simple matter of formattting your card with your phone, taking the card out and putting it into the reader and drag and drop the songs from your computer to the memory card, putting the card back into your phone, and start enjoying the music.

i have a 256 meg chip in the phone but not a card reader. I do however have the connection for phone to computer hook-up. Can I do it that way?
