micro SD problem

Hi, my friend and i traded micro SD memory cards for our phones
and i put her memory card into my lexar micro SD reader and put it into the
computer but nothing showed up ?
then i tried to put the memory card back into her phone and it says it needs to be formated
but she has alot of pictures and videos on it that cant be lost?
how can i get get her pictures without formating it and loosing everything?

What size is the card? A lot of readers won't read the newer 4GB SD HC (High-Capacity) cards. You would have to get a newer reader. My 1 year-old desktop computer wouldn't read my 4GB or 8GB card.
