The shipment for the The LG Optimus Pad, aka, G-Slate, will begin shipping out sometime this week and will be headed to Japan first. The carrier for the LG Optimus Pad for Japan will be NTT DoCoMo.
According to NTT DoCoMo, the pad will show up in stores around March 31, but may not be available in every store by then due to the tremendous earthquake and tsunami that took place in Japan.
Features of the LG Optimus Pad will include: an 8.9-inch capacitive touchscreen, dual-5 MP cameras with 1080p 2D recording and 720p 3D recording (which will require 3D glasses due to the autostereoscopic screen). It will also run on Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1 GHz processor and will come with a 1280 x 768 resolution, a front-facing 1.2 MP camera for video calls, 3G and Wi-Fi and Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
