LG Optimus Black: I wonder that the quality of the latest LG Smartphones

I like LG Optimus Black best between LG Smartphones.
But my friends told me that LG Smartphones have many disadvantages.
I'm not so sure about that.
I wonder if there's any disadvantages except the slow software updates?
LG Phones are not sell well here because of bad opinions.
Whether to buy a LG PHONE?
