Bluetooth Management

Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Under "Wireless & Networks", tap the switch associated with "Bluetooth" in order to enable or disable the feature

Pairing With a Bluetooth Device:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
  2. Select "System settings"
  3. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled, then tap "Bluetooth" (the text, not the switch)
  4. After the scanning process is complete, select the desired device from the list
  5. If prompted, type in the PIN and tap "OK". (Note: by default, most Bluetooth devices have password "1234" or "0000"
  6. Accept the pairing on the other Bluetooth device


Wi-Fi Management

Enabling / Disabling Wi-Fi Connectivity:

  1. From a home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "System Settings"
  3. Tap "Wi-Fi" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Press the "Wi-Fi" switch to enable or disable this feature

Scanning and Connecting to Wi-Fi Networks:

  1. While viewing a home screen, press the "Menu" button
  2. Tap "System Settings"
  3. Under "Wireless & Networks", press "Wi-Fi"
  4. Make sure that "Wi-Fi" is enabled
  5. Select the Wi-Fi network that you wish to connect to
  6. If requested, type in the network's password
  7. Tap "Connect"

Deleting WI-Fi Network Profiles:

  1. From a home screen, tap the "Menu" button on your device
  2. Select "System Settings"
  3. Tap "Wi-Fi" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Make sure that "Wi-Fi" is enabled
  5. Tap and hold the Wi-Fi network that you wish to delete
  6. Select "Forget Network"


Tethering & Mobile Hotspot

Setting Up the Drivers for Your PC:

To download and install the necessary drivers on your computer, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable that came with your handset
  2. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  3. Tap "System settings"
  4. Under "Wireless & Networks", select "Tethering & Networks"
  5. Press the "USB tethering" switch to enable the feature
  6. Once the "First time use" window appears, tap "OK"
  7. If you use Windows 7, Vista or Linux, the drivers will automatically be applied. If you use Windows XP, tap "Download Windows XP driver" and follow the prompts

Setting up Mobile Hotspot over Wi-Fi:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button on your device
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Press "Tethering & Networks" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Tap "Mobile HotSpot"
  5. Select "Configure Mobile HotSpot"
  6. Edit the settings below as you see fit / necessary:
    • Network SSID
    • SSID Visibility
    • Max client allowed to tether
    • Security
    • Password
  7. Once finished, tap "Save"

Enabling / Disabling Mobile Hotspot:

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Menu" key
  2. Select "System settings"
  3. Tap "Tethering & Networks" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Tap "Mobile HotSpot"
  5. Check or uncheck the box associated with "Mobile HotSpot"

Tethering via USB:

Tethering via USB allows you to utilize your smartphone's data connection on your computer. WARNING: depending on your contract with the carrier, this feature may result in extra charges.

  1. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable
  2. On the handset's home screen, press the "Menu" button
  3. Select "System settings"
  4. Under "Wireless & Networks", tap "Tethering & Networks"
  5. Press the "USB tethering" switch to enable the feature
  6. Assuming that the "First time use" window appears, press "OK". Otherwise, tap "Cancel"
