Creating Backups

Backing Up Apps and Contacts:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Tap "LG Backup"
  3. Review the introduction if this is the first time opening the app
  4. Tap "Agree" in the End User License Agreement screen
  5. Tap "Manual backup"
  6. Select the desired backup location and tap "Next"
  7. Tap "New backup". NOTE: tap "Overwrite" if you're planning on replacing an existing backup file
  8. Type in the desired name for the backup, and tap "Next"
  9. Mark the check boxes associated with "LG Home screen", "Personal data", "LG Apps", "Settings" and "Downloaded apps"
  10. Tap "Backup" > "OK"

Backing Up Media Files and Pictures Using a Windows Computer:
  1. Connect your LG L90 to your computer using the USB cable
  2. On your smartphone, tap "Media sync (MTP)" when prompted
  3. On the computer, an AutoPlay window should pop-up. In it, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Navigate to where the desired files are located and copy them
  5. Navigate to where you wish to back up the files on your computer, and paste the files
  6. Once the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  8. It's now safe to disconnect your smartphone from your PC

Restoring Data

Restoring Applications and Contacts:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Tap "Backup" > "Restore"
  3. Choose a backup file and tap "Restore"
  4. Tap "Yes" after reviewing the warning information, and wait for your smartphone to reboot

Restoring Media Files and Pictures from a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a connection between your computer and LG L90 via USB
  2. On your smartphone, tap "Media sync (MTP)"
  3. From the AutoPlay window on your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the media files are backed up on your computer's hard drive
  5. Copy the backed up files, and paste them in the appropriate folders on your phone's memory
  6. After the transfer is done, click "Safely Remove Hardware" in the system tray
  7. Then, click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and confirm with "OK"
  8. It's now safe to disconnect your smartphone from the PC
