How-to: LG G2 Mini: Adding, Importing / Exporting and Managing Contacts and Caller Groups

Contact Management

Adding a New Contact:

1. While on the home screen, tap "Contacts"
2. Tap the "+" sign
3. Select the location where to save the contact, such as "SIM", "Google" or "Phone contact"
4. Enter the contact's name in the appropriate field
5. Type in the contact's phone number in the right field, and optionally, tap the "Mobile" drop-down menu to select a different type of phone number
6. Enter any additional information as you see fit
7. When ready, tap "Save"

Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap "Phone" while on the home screen
2. Press the "Menu" key
3. Tap "Speed dial"
4. Select the dial pad number you wish to use for speed dialing
5. Choose the contact that you wish to assign to the previously selected dial pad number

Deleting Contacts:

1. Launch the "Contacts" application
2. Tap and hold the contact that you wish to delete
3. Tap "Delete contact"
4. Tap "Yes" to confirm

Contact Import / Export

Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. From the home screen, tap "Contacts"
2. Press the "Menu" key
3. Tap "Import / Export" > "Import from SIM card"
4. Select to save the contact to "Phone" or "Google"
5. Choose the contacts that you wish to import, or tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Import" > "Yes"

Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card:

1. Tap "Contacts" while on the home screen
2. Press the "Menu" key
3. Tap "Import / Export" > "Export to SIM card"
4. Select to "save contact to" "Phone" or "Google"
5. Choose the contacts that you wish to export, or tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Export" > "Yes"

Importing Contacts from the Internal Storage:

1. From the "Contacts" app, tap "Menu"
2. Tap "Import / Export" > "Import from internal storage"
3. Under "Save contacts to", select "Phone" or "Google"
4. Choose the contacts that you wish to move, or tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Import" > "Yes"

Exporting Contacts to Internal Storage:

1. Launch the "Contacts" app
2. Press the "Menu" key
3. Tap "Import / Export" > "Export to internal storage"
4. Under "Save contact to", select "Phone" or "Google"
5. Select the contacts that you wish to export, or tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Export" > "Yes"

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:

1. From the contacts app, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export"
2. Select "import from SD card"
3. Choose a location where you wish to save the contacts and follow any additional prompts
4. To export contacts, select "Export to SD card" instead, and follow the instructions

Managing Groups

Creating a New Caller Group:

1. While on the home screen, tap the "Contacts" icon
2. Access the "Groups" tab
3. Press the "Menu" key
4. Tap "New group"
5. Under "Account", select an account or leave it to default "All accounts"
6. Enter the group's name in the "Group name" field
7. Select a group ringtone
8. To add members, press the "+" icon and select the desired contacts
9. Tap "Add" > "Save"

Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:

1. Launch the "Contacts" app
2. Access the "Groups" tab
3. Select the group that you wish to edit
4. Press the "Menu" key
5. Tap "Add members" and select the desired contacts
6. Tap "Add"
