Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then you can re-sync the contacts from the account with the LG Tribute 2.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and PC
  3. After it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes
  4. From the summary page, access the “Info” tab
  5. Click “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the “Sync” to complete
  8. After the sync is done, register the same Google account on the LG Tribute 2 and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: Assuming you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, then your iPhone contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access your account using a computer with an active Internet connection, and export the contacts for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings”
  6. Click “Export vCard” and wait for the file to be downloaded on your computer
  7. Import the file to “Google Contacts”, or alternatively skip this step and instead:
  8. Connect the LG Tribute 2 to your computer via USB and copy the VCF file to the phone’s storage. Then open the contacts application, and use the “Import” function from the menu to add the VCF file’s contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: If you don’t have access to a computer you can also use third party applications to transfer your contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up your contacts and share them via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application
  3. Tap “Backup” to create the vCard file containing your contacts
  4. Tap “Email” and compose a new email
  5. Make sure the VCF file is attached to the email, and send it to your own Gmail address
  6. On the LG Tribute 2, open the email and download the attached file
  7. Import the file’s contents using the contacts app and the “Import” function from the menu

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app that can be used to transfer contacts, cross platform, through a P2P connection without needing a computer is “Send Anywhere”.

  1. Install “Send Anywhere” from the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the LG device via the Google Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Choose a method of transfer. Tapping “Receive” on the LG device allows you to start the transfer after entering the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone. You can also tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Tribute 2’s camera to begin the transfer
