NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how to back up data on the LG V20.
Restore Apps:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Tap Backup & reset
- Tap Restore from backup under LG Backup
- Locate and select the desired backup
- Tap Start
- Wait for the restore to complete and tap Done. NOTE: you will be required to reboot your phone
Restore Contacts:
- Launch Settings
- Tap Backup & reset in the General tab
- Under LG Backup, tap Restore from backup
- Select the desired SD card backup
- Tap Start and once the process is complete, tap Done. NOTE: You will be required to reboot your phone
Restore Media Files From the Phone:
- Open Settings
- Tap Backup & reset in the General tab
- Tap Restore from backup under LG Backup
- Select the desired media backup and tap Start
- After the process completes, tap Restart and wait for the device to reboot
Restore Media Files from the PC:
- Connect the LG V20 to your computer via USB
- When prompted (or from the Notification area), enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media sync (MPT)
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Navigate to the desired backup files on the PC storage
- Copy the desired backup files or the .sbf backup file you want to restore
- Transfer the files on the phone storage
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
