Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: In case one of your apps doesn’t work as intended, it freezes, crashes, or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app’s cache/data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal information stored within the app will be deleted. This includes save files, user profiles and settings, login and credit card information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Go to “Apps” and access “All”
  4. Select the desired app
  5. Tap “Clear cache”
  6. If clearing the cache didn’t solve the issues, tap “Clear data” (check WARNING above)

Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone doesn’t work as intended or runs out of storage inexplicably, you can try fixing it by clearing the cache partition. This can yield results similar to a factory reset without losing any personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Storage”
  4. Wait for the phone to finish calculating the data
  5. Once done, tap “Cached data” > “Yes” to clear the cache

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t help, you can visit this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the LG Stylus 3.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: In case you have installed a third party application that causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you can try uninstalling the app from within Safe Mode. In this mode, all third party apps are disabled by default.

  1. On the home screen, press and hold “Power”
  2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
  3. When prompted to “Restart in Safe Mode”, tap “OK”. NOTE: once the phone reboots, it should display a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower-left corner of the screen
  4. Next, to remove an app, first open “Settings”
  5. Then access the “General” tab if necessary
  6. Tap “Apps” and go to “Downloaded”
  7. Select the desired app
  8. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
  9. After you have removed the app, exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone as you would do normally, by pressing and holding “Power”
