NOTE: For instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files on the LG Fortune, visit this thread.

Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the desired backup file and tap “Start”
  6. When prompted, tap “Done”

NOTE: You may need to reboot your phone for the restore to take effect.

Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab if needed
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Locate and tap the SD card backup file you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may have to reboot your phone for the restore to complete.

Restore Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Locate and select the media backup files you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start”
  7. When prompted with “Restore completed” tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG Fortune to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the backup or “.sbf” files you wish to restore
  5. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
