Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the LG Q6 and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the Google account to sync contacts with the LG phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your Google account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the LG device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the backup is complete, tap “Email”
  4. Ensure the email contains the vCard attachment and send it to your own address
  5. Switch to the LG device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the LG device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
