Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG device to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on the computer storage
- Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications directories
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch Settings
- If necessary, switch to List view
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Open the Essentials folder
- Open Contacts and select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More
- Go to Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Settings:
- Open Email
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Scroll to Accounts & Sync
- Select the desired email account
- Enable New Emails under Notifications
- Tap Notification sound and select the desired notification ringtone
- Optionally, enable or disable Vibrate
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Open Messaging
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings > Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Under Receive alerts choose to disable Imminent sever alerts, Imminent extreme alerts and/or AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate choose to enable or disable Alert vibration and Alert sound
