Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, specifically in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” directories
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones can’t be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:

  1. Open “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Go to “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Enable “New Emails”
  5. Access “Notification sound” and select the desired notification ringtone
  6. Optionally, turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Launch “Messages”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings’
  3. Access “Advanced settings”
  4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Enable or disable “Imminent extreme alerts” “Imminent severe alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
  6. Under “Sound and vibrate” enable or disable “Alert vibration’ and “Alert sound”
