Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, specifically in the Ringtones and Notifications directories
- Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings
- Go to Device
- Tap Sound > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cant be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:
- Open Email
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Go to Accounts & Sync
- Enable New Emails
- Access Notification sound and select the desired notification ringtone
- Optionally, turn Vibrate ON or OFF
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Launch Messages
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Access Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Enable or disable Imminent extreme alerts Imminent severe alerts and AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate enable or disable Alert vibration and Alert sound
