Now before I start, I'm totally sorry if these questions have been asked before. Got the Black v3 a month ago and barely realized that it cannot connect to 'web browser.' It says that a GPRS Network is not available. Now i'm wondering, how do I get it to work? This is where I can buy ringtones, read the news and such, right? How do I get it to work? Would it cost anything extra, and where do I get it done? Also, when I charge my the v3, it makes random noises, like you're changing the volume, i'm thinking it's because it's in the pouch while I charge it, but it's really odd. Thanks for the help. Oh, and another question, my phone set came with some sort of disk and data cable. I've installed it on my computer, I think it's called 'Mobile Tools.' I can't get it to work, is this where I can upload pictures and videos from my phone to my computer? Once agian, thanks for anyone who could help me out.
Come on, someone has to know

Tony, thanks for the help so far, but when I tried to launch it, it says 'Network Not Available." I've double checked what I put in, and everything is correct... so what's the problem? Thanks for your time in helping me with this, btw.

Call your service provider and ask if there's any issues with your network in your area, could be something as simple as that, considering cingular is doing a massive upgrade with their area.

I take it that you have subscribed to the "media net" service. I tried the web browser before I subscribed to MW and it didn't work.
Also, I notice sometimes I get "data network unavailable" when I have a poor signal.

Called them, something really odd is up with my phone. The first problem is that they couldn't even find my phone number in their database! Second, was that they said even though my phone has the capability to use the internet and all, I still might not be able to connect to Media Net. All I ever wanted was some ringtones! Thanks for the help so far, guys.

I'm guessing that's for if I've installed PhoneMobileTools, right? There's another problem, I can't get it to connect. I connect it via USB and when it is 'setting up' my phone, it gets to the point where it is almost done, but eventually it ends up back to the "What do I want to connect my phone with, via bluetooth, usb, infrared" list.

Did you check you web session on your phone to verify the settings below?
If you don't have a session named 'Media Net' you need to create it and enter all of the settings. The ones below are different from the ones I have on my v3 though. I'l' highlight the differences in RED
You also need to have a data plan of some sort (media basic or media works for example)and have GPRS available.
When you have input the new session or made changes to it, you need to then make highlight it and hit the menu key and set it to 'default'.
As far as setting up your MPT's it won't fix your internet problem on your phone. It will allow you to move pics and ring tones and stuff back and forth though. Getting it to work and connect can be a pain but if you follow the directions sooner or later it should work. Can you tell us exactly what you did and in what order? Like are you using bluetooth or a data cable? Did you make sure you didn't plug the phone in until it told you to? Are you running windows xp? 98? me? I know I had to search for hours to find out how to fix the conflict bug the program has with windows xp. Did you make the phone discoverable when it asked?
Have you thought about using MMS to or email to transfer stuff?
If you need it, I can send you a copy of all the settings but you need to be able to get some software to attach to upload it.
I'll be happy to help if I can. The more info you can give us the easier it will be help.
