I have the latest version of MPT, thank god I ripped it off since Its virtually useless to me. I have searched a bit but didnt find any solutions, has any one figured out how to get ring tones on the V3c using MPT through the USB cable? Or any other way for that matter?

try this
have you tried http://mobile17.smashsworld.com/. it is free all you have to do is signup you can make a donation to speed up the process of sending your ringtone to the phone which you will see takes a while. you can use any song on your computer. and the ringtone turns out to be very loud.

Mobile17 is a great site, but you can also trick MPT into allowing you to access the multimedia functions. Follow the instructions laid out here, but instead of using the driver for the E815m, use the V3cm drivers. Trust me, it works like a charm and gives you the proper screen interface.
Make sure to update MPT all the way to v4.0.4b to get the most out of your software.
Hope this helps!LG VX9900 (enV)

However, for the record, lets explore a little history. You say that I learned about updating to v4.0.4b from you. That is an interesting assertion, especially since you posted that information on 1/17, yet I posted the same information, in the same thread, on 1/02. How is it possible for me to have gotten it from you 15 days before you even knew about it? Help me out here...
As for the V3cm drivers, do you think that it is possible for someone to have thought of the same thing without your help? I stumbled on it by accident while trying to load the e815 drivers and decided to use the trusty "trial and error" method. Please notice that I posted this fix in 2 different threads the day after you did.
Finally, the only uncredited information in my post was the cnet article, which I got from a post by member dssl, and did give him his due in another thread. Incidentally, that article is public domain, available to anyone with an internet connection and the ability type www.google.com in their web browser.
Before you flame someone publicly in these or any other forums, you really ought to do your homework. It is not only rude, but can be downright emberassing when they fire back and prove you wrong. Now, while I do not expect a personal apology, I do think you should apologize to the rest of the forum for hijacking this thread with your petty insecurities. We are all here to help out, and you will find that I have been "doing my part" to help out here for a little longer than you and have offered up considerably more posts than you. This does not give me the right to try and bully other members, but I believe that it should earn me a little respect for the time I take out of my busy schedule to do it.
That is all I have to say, and I apologize for having to take up space in this thread to say it.LG VX9900 (enV)

I got my info from someone else as well and if you look at the FIRST!!! line of my post it says thanks to............ as for gain respect how have you done that a mere 79 posts??? 90% of them are bull crap responses saying yeah or thanks or pawning other people's info as your own.________________

It also intrigues me that you would call my posts "bull crap responses saying yeah or thanks or pawning other people's info as your own", while moderators of these very forums call my efforts "generous and giving a lot of good advice lately".
z12ub, I don't like being called a thief or a plagiarist anymore than the next guy. I certainly don't like being called a liar. Next time you have a problem with someone, don't take it into the forums, send them a PM.LG VX9900 (enV)

@ Z12ub, if you measure a person's intelligence by their post count, than you're in trouble my friend ( check your own post count) and furthermore, i think i've been around this forum long enough to know who contributes and who comes here to post crap, so far yours fits the bill...no offence but you come in here flaming a member whom from my experience of moderating this board does nothing but try to help others with their questions not only here but at other boards i moderate at as well, also i've never seen Paul take credit for any of the information he's posted as his own but on the contrary shares it with with others who might benefit from such....
Now unless you wrote the book on how to connect our Razr's or whatever handset to be used with drivers, why don't you start contributing instead if coming to argue about a subject that we all know has been well documented way before you even joined this forum.
