Nextel Motorola i730 ring tones what kind are what??

as you can probably tell i really don't know much about cell phones but i have a Nextel Motorola i730 and want to downlod some ringtones. my question is what ring tones are compatable with my phone? will it only do a tone or the real music with voice or what, cause i really don't know what polygraphic and all that stuff means. thanks for your help

no one knows what that polyphonic, and all the other ring tones are? on the nextel website under download ringtones there are about 4 options, and i don't want to buy one of the "real music" ones if my phone won't accept it. please help

i just broke my i730
, but it plays like MP3s and the polyphonic, which is what the midi sounding ones are called i think. some of the midi ones made the phone do this little light show, which was cool. i think those are called "bling tones". mine is a boost.
the swapmeets here have stores that sell ring tones, but they sometimes take up too much memory.

the i730 wont play mp3. they play .wav ringtones. they will accept all ringtones off the web site, as long as they arent mp3 format...if you go to nextel.howardforums.com and go into thier ringtone section, you will find ways to create your own custom ringtones

i guess thats why the ringtone loader program i was trying, didnt work for me, good lookin sniper.

i dont know if i will get another i730 tho, i noticed boost has discontinued many of their models. i do want another boost tho, any suggestions?

the i450 isnt too bad. i have one myself. its not too expensive and its a lil better then the i730. you can send pictures, and has a lil more memory space for ringtones and what not
