unable to make web browser connection/mms mgs - V3i

i am a cingular customer. i recently bought a unlocked motorola razr V3i. before i inputted any of the settings, i would get "gprs network not available" as a quick error message when i hit the web browser button. i input the settings listed on the cingular tutorial page for the razr V3 browser/internet > browser settings. when i hit the web browser button it now appears to be going through, saying "connecting" for a few minutes, and then i get a message that says, "Data Server not available". When I exit and it then says "x" number of bytes have transferred. So in other words it. appears to start going through but then it can't connect for whatever reason. I did notice tho that my phone does not have a "gateway ip" entry space. it is instead replaced with a "proxy 1" entry space. does this matter? should i enter the code for the gateway ip into the proxy 1 space? i also cannot send or receive MMS messages but can send and receive regular txt msgs. help? please?

Try the Configurator, choose the Razr as your phone model.

If that didn't work, then you'll probably need to call up CS who should be able to step you through it.

i fixed the problem, unfortunately this forum did not help me what so ever. (calling cingular to step me thru it was the FIRST thing i did. wayyyyy before i posted here) but i can share with you how i fixed it - i actually had to enter all the browser settings for the SLVR NOT the RZAR. i don't know why this works but it does. like a charm. (as i stated before my phone is the RAZR V3i - with itunes)

go to the cingular.com site, log in, and when your logged in, click on the "phone & device" support under the my phone link on the left hand side, about 1/2 way down. There you will find out alll the configurations for your phone. I had the same problems. I went there cause cingular support was useless, and now i'm cooking with grease. I hope this helps for future problems.

That's great that you got your Razr v3i (with i-tunes) working, but for the record, you did not specify that your v3i was the version with i-tunes in your first post, hence the reason why i suggested using the Razr's settings, sorry we were of no help to you, we do try our best to help our members as best as we can we the limited information we get, we do not claim to know it all.

I also purchased a razr v3 (unlocked) and having the same problem-cannot connect to web browser-my provider is cellularone-Any suggestions?
