well heres the scoop, i just bought a motorola clutch from boost on there new unlimited plan. i love the phone but sadly boost has no apps to download just games and boost does not allow you to download anything from your phone they want you to get it from them. well i called around and i was told i would need a data cable and i got that sync to my pc right away. now there the hard part, how do i go about installng j2me apps on my phone and where can i get them. i need an older virson of opora mini like 3.0 i think im not shure. but if you could help me i would be greatful. i am always on the road with my band and i got this to save some cash but i would like to have my gmail and a different browser then crappy openwave. i seen a vid of a guy that had same phone as me with tons of j2me apps. again any help with be greatful thank you very much.

I am not very familiar with this phone, but I believe you first have to have Motorola Phone Tools, or MPT for short. I am not sure where this is available, but you can try google. With the phone tools, and the sync cable, you should be able to go and download all that you want, and put it on your phone.

The Motorola Phone Tools Software will not work. The software does not work with any IDEN Phones.

I have Opera 4.2 and Bolt Lite on mine. go to getjar and get files and send to your phone with iden app loader. You have to use the app loader because you can't directly download from your phone. You have to download to your computer, then zip them before you send them. After you do that.go to download apps, new purchases and you shoud be able to get it

MTP does not work with iDEN phones. I have it and have checked on the Motorola site. You cannot use PhoneTools with the clutch.

jonny - go to boostapps.com. there are aome games and apps there, and you can send them right to your phone.
there is also an explanation of how to download from getjar and other sites - you have to create a zip, and use the iden uploader.

Kevin - boostapps has several browsers also - you can just send them to your cell

The best way to get loads of games and apps for your phone is to first get them on your pc and then either with bluetooth or Data Cable transfer it to your phone. There are loads of j3me phone download sites for free. Just google it.
