I want to upgrade and sign new 2 yr with Verizon and get a droid bionic and an LG Lucid (both 4g LTE). I was thinking of purchasing from Wirefly because of the cost.
But when I asked Wirefly's customer service about if the sim cards came with each of these phones they are telling me that since the phones are cdma they don't need sim cards and there is no slot for one.
On the other hand when I call Verizon wireless tech support they say that the phones will not work without a sim card? Are the sim cards built in (internal fixed) and maybe that is why Wirefly customer service is not figuring this out.
I was in a Verizon wireless store the other day and I could have sworn he opened the back of each phone and showed me a physical slot and sim card that the phone(s) needed to work??? or maybe it was an SD card don't know. Could this phone have a slot both SC card and sim card?
So who is right Wirefly or Verizon?
On Verizon wireless website droid bionic is $99 include sim card. On Wirefly 49.00 without sim card?
On Verizon wirelss website LG Lucid is $79 including sim card. On Wirefly $29 without sim card?
I've looked at both tech specifications and there is no mention of a sim card one way or the other. I do not need a global ready phone so CDMA is fine just need the sim card issue cleared up before proceed with either Wirefly or Verizon.
Also any comments from previous ppl that have used Wirefly would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: droid bionic sim card issues and wirefly
Since the phones are CDMA and on Verizon, there is no traditional SIM. There is a 4g SIM though. All plans should come with a 4g SIM regardless of who you get it from. The phone will not work on the network without it.

Re: droid bionic sim card issues and wirefly
well that explains it a bit better to me, but you would think that Wirefly would tell me it had the 4g lte sim card and not the "traditional" sim card for travelling and such.
This failure of knowledge and communication probably should tell me to move on from Wirefly, no?

Re: droid bionic sim card issues and wirefly
Just got off the phone with Wirefly again, they DO NOT include the 4g LTE sim card in the phone. Their simple-minded explanation was that because Verizon is a CDMA network they can activate and the phone will "work", then I have to contact Verizon to get the 4g LTE sim card. So I guess at that point it will work but not have 4g LTE capabilities.
Does anyone know if Verizon sells the 4g LTE sim cards separately? Or will they even do this?

Re: droid bionic sim card issues and wirefly
wirefly does not include the 4g lte sim card. verizon wireless tech support said that Wirefly is a authorized seller of Verizon phones and when i get the phone(s) to either call Verizon customer service and they will send me them or go into a Verizon store and the card(s) will be given to me for free and the activation will be completed at that time.
Why this took me all day to find out between Wirefly and Verizon is criminal.
