I have a Motorola V195S which came with my T-Mobile's Pay-As-You_Go plan. It is a very basic phone.
I would like to back up my contacts from the cellphone to my desktop PC. All the contacts are stored on the SIM card. It is my understanding that I can use a USB data cable for the task.
Questions:
1) For the USB cable, do I need to purchase a USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5-pin Male cable? (I found such cable at Monoprice.com and you can see it by searching for "product ID 8632". I would post the direct link but forum rules prevent me from doing that since my post count is less than 10...)
2) Is there a free software (freeware) alternative to Motorola Phone Tools 5.0 for doing the backup? (Windows or Linux)
Thanks.
