Moto X Headphone Notification Symbol

Keep getting the headphone notification symbol top of screen. Upon viewing the notification it says "Unknown artist w/ pause & forward button" Why?

No music player running that I am aware of because I haven't played any music on new phone yet

If you turn up the volume or plug in headphones is there something playing? Have you tried rebooting the phone?

John, thank you so much for responding. Yes I have rebooted even followed step by step instructions from Motorola at which time the headphone icon went away, but they keep coming back. Have not plugged headphones in to listen as you suggested. Have turned volume up, don't hear any music playing. When I click the notice it takes me to the Listen Now app.

I'm not familiar with the listen now app but I'm wondering if there is some kind of bug in it. Does it come with the phone? Have you tried to update it?

Yes the Listen Now app comes with the phone. No have not tried to update it. Have cleared the song from the que, which kept the headphone icon from showing as a notification on home screen for about 48 hours. Am now going to attempt to update the app.

Let us know how it goes!

You ma have to sent it to repair center to check it up if it is a new phone.
