Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Moto G4 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) on the phone, otherwise enable the option from the Notification area
- On the computer, open the File Explorer
- Use the Explorer to locate the audio files on your computer
- Copy the desired files and transfer them on the phone storage in the Media folder, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms directories
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Under Device, tap Sound & notification
- Tap Phone ringtone and
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Optionally, you can enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings
- Under "Device", tap Sound & notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Select a notification sound and tap OK to confirm
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the devices internal storage.
- Launch Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit
- Tap Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
