Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Moto C Plus to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the computer
  5. Copy and paste the desired audio files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notification” folder(s)
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. On the home screen, swipe up to access the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “Sound & Notification”
  4. Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
  6. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Access “All Contacts” and select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
