I am highly irritated with my husband's and my Nextel phones. We both have model i60c. The direct connect works on both, but for the past month or so, when we try to make a cell call, we receive the following message Call failed: Please Try again. 466 . Oddly, Nextel has no idea what an error 466 is. Sometimes it says Error 466 and sometimes not. Does anybody on this site have a clue as to what this means? I think because we haven't been able to use this feature of our phones, we should be entitled to money off, considoring between both our phones, we our paying roughly $120/month. Nice huh? OK, well any help will be greatly appreciated and Thanks in advance. Melissa

Well if the 2-way works then it must be something simple. Up in the top corner is the a little ity bitty 1 or 2? If it is a 2 then that was it. Go to settings phone settings and choose line 1. If it is fine the I would say master reset your unit.
Go to Setting, security, master reset. Enter in your security code (000000) then just press yes and ok all the way though till it powers down. Power it back on and test it. If that doesn't work then I would go to menu forwards just turn the forward on to your home or something.. See if you get a service conflict or a service restricted?

Hi and thank you for responding, one of the Nextel CSR's had us do all types of things with our phones including checking the version of software etc., and nothing worked. But, updating my situation, they had us both turn off our phones at certain times, 2 days in a row, and when we powered them back up, they seemed to be dowloading some type of data. Also, I vaguely remember when we got the phones, over a year ago, a little "IP" symbol was located up top next to the reception bars. After a while they weren't there anymore and we weren't able to access any net alerts, or delete them for that matter. Well, the "IP" thing is back and we can now access the net. Our phones are now working fine, maybe they just needed to be "zapped back into shape" lol.. But thank you for your suggestions. If anyone were to find out what an "error 466" is, please feel free to provide your input, as we are still curious.lol Thanks again! Mel

ok I looked up the error for you, I don't think it will help you though. It says and I qoute, " Recovery on the timer expiration. The Fixed Network Equiptment did not respond within a predetermined amount of time."
