Finally, IDEN is a proprietary technology owned by Motorola. That means moto owns the rights to it and it's illegal to tamper with. Therefore, we do not discuss illegal acts on this site, and you will have to find someplace else if you want help breaking the law. Sorry you didn't understand this when you posted this irrational rant. I hope you have a better day now that your questions have all been answered.Last edited by Brad729; 02-02-2006 at 08:23 PM.

again I say
motorola uses a based software to unlock a phone with flash its not raptor, nor lab or any depots. what we have to unlock phones is a flash reader called raptor designed by people like us what i dont understand is this is a cellphone forum it is a based location to teach some knowledge on how to do certain things to phones but why have a forum on phones when you cant discuss **** on it or should I say important **** im not interested in doing ringtones nor am i interested in status lights ETC..... im interested in doing the unlocking i have everything to unlock including the rom 13 phones i can unlock all phones cdma, tdma.gsm, and iden but its for the purpose on why people are so tight on this unlocking thing we are not using any motorola software to unlock a phone we built our software to do so and if you think it is so illegal to unlock a phone then try this go to any sprint store and ask them to unlock it theyll do it for you and charge your 25 bucks to do so and thats any sprint store. if it was illegal in general then noone including motorola would unlock your phone. Unlocking Is out there for a reason for guys like us to figure it out

This is the end of the discussion. By the way, do you know how to use GOOGLE? If you think you're some kind of hacker you should be able to find the info you're looking for in a google search. But that would be if you knew how to use puncuation, likes QUOTATION MARKS. Excuse my attitude, but my patience grows short when people don't listen the first three times someone tells them something.
Get a clue and stop asking us here. GOOGLE.Last edited by Brad729; 02-03-2006 at 08:58 AM.

brad you are a very intellegant person i take it just cuz you said thats enough so ill stop just for you but the issuie is still at large why its such a big deal but like i said ill drop the conversation i just dont see why a cellphone forum cant help you out on doing such a thing (unlocking) im speaking up for people who dont have the balls to say something without getting banned and as for authorize personal unlocking phones they are authorized to do so because they know what they are doing not because it is illegal they dont need people screwing up phones and destroying codeplugs and hardware thats the only reason why i know what sprint is using to do such actions. I work for moto i know all about it.

Okay, I was going to ignore your last post and have the thread closed. BUT since I am such a patient person and always willing to help someone when possible, I will try once more to set the record straight.
There is no problem unlocking a GSM phone, that is legal and perfectly okay as long as you use legal methods to do it. Unlocking a GSM phone can be done fairly easily without any software tampering. But since Motorola owns all rights to iDEN technology it cannot be tampered with! If you can unlock your Boost or Nextel phone without tampering with the phone's technology, then you are not breaking any laws.
Let me clarify something here, if you have the correct LEGAL software to do this, then it would not be illegal. But the most common way for people to unlock a Boost or Nextel phone requires some illegal software tampering, and that's where the whole ILLEGAL part comes into play and that is why I cannot and will not discuss the details here.
Even if you have all the right stuff, you can still damage your phone if you do it wrong, and that's another reason to let someone do it for you at an authorized dealer. If you break your phone, you're out a phone. If an authorized nextel rep breaks your phone, they'll replace it.
Because you have irked me with this unrelenting inquisition, I took the time to call Motorola myself, and they confirmed for me that if you have the correct LEGAL software to unlock your phone, that's 100% okay but you are still risking damage to your phone if you don't do it right the first time! Furthermore, all of the software you can download online to unlock your iDEN phone is illegal because it employs illegal methods which, again, I will not discuss in any detail. Therefore, since this information came straight from Motorola, this is the final word on the subject. End of story.
