I have an ATT phone that I am getting rid of and my nextel....my nextel rings sound so different from my at&t ones...I wonder also what is the best way to turn an mp3 into a midi...they NEVER come out right...

Yes, there are physical differences between phones. For example, I had a Samsung which's quality of the loudspeaker was far better than my S55. (It was not just because of the differences between the 24- and 40-channel poly)

its like different hardware for different instruments to produce the unique sounds

It's the same when you have a differnt keyboard or synthesizer the midi's sound different. Because the sound they use for guitars are different in the hardware of the type of keyboard

its all about the speakers... you get more points of sound on your pc... or newer phone.... there are web pages that sell better speakers... i have an extra loud one in my i95 that pisses everyone off....
think of it like movie theatre audio and the speakers on your tv... its the only thing that changes the sound.
