Create an APN (Access Point Name) Profile:

  1. On the Start screen, tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Network & wireless”
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM > “SIM settings”
  4. Tap “Add an internet APN” under “Internet APN”
  5. Enter the “Profile Name”, “Username”, “Password”, “APN” etc.
  6. After adding the APN information, tap “Save”
  7. Select the APN profile you wish to use

Select Networks Manually:

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & wireless” > “Cellular & SIM”
  3. Tap “SIM settings”
  4. Under “Cellular network”, tap “Search for networks”
  5. Select the desired network provider

Switch Between LTE, 4G, 2G:

  1. On the Start screen tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Network & Wireless”
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings”
  4. Under “Cellular network”, tap “Highest connection speed”
  5. Select “LTE”, “4G” or “2G”

Enable / Disable Mobile Data:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Networks & wireless”
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM”
  4. Under “Cellular Data”, tap the “Data connection” switch to enable or disable mobile data

Enable / Disable Roaming:

  1. Open “Settings” and tap “Networks & wireless”
  2. Tap “Cellular & SIM”
  3. Under “SIM”, tap “Data roaming options”
  4. Select “don’t roam” or “roam”

Turn Airplane Mode On / Off:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Network & wireless” > “Airplane mode”
  3. Under “Status”, tap the “On / Off” switch

Enable / Disable Anti-Theft:

  1. Tap the “Settings” tile on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Update & security”
  3. Tap “Find My Phone”
  4. Tap to “Turn on” or “Turn off”
  5. Enter your Microsoft Live password and tap “Enter”

Turn Emergency Alerts On / Off:

  1. On the Start screen, tap the “Messaging” tile
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Access “Change emergency alert settings”
  4. Select to enable or disable one or more of the following options:
    • Severe Alerts
    • Extreme Alerts
    • AMBER Alerts

NOTE: “Presidential Alerts” are turned on by default and cannot be disabled.

Turn Developer Options On / Off:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Update & Security” > “For developers”
  3. Tap “Windows Store apps” and make sure your phone can install apps only from the Windows Store (or otherwise)
  4. From this menu you can further manage or enable / disable developer options
