Hi. I just got a nokia 3100 and I was wondering how to send a 'midi' I downloaded to my phone. Can I just email it somehow?
    Thanks in advance!
    Paul.

If you upload the midi to some webspace and connect straight to the file using the wap service on your phone, it will be downloaded!

Well one worked! I downloaded a few others and with every one my phone says 'Unable to open file'. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks again!

This happens when the files are just normal midi files, for Nokia they will have to be in sp-midi format!
Follow this link and download da program, and you can convert normal midi to sp-midi using it!

Hi, yes it worked for me. I still get the odd midi that doesn't sound quite right on my phone, other than that it worked ok.

It can be to do with the amount of "chords" it supports. some phones have 16 chord some have 35 etc. sometimes the ringtones chord speciffications are too high for the phone to play. or it can just be the ringtone is too long.
