I just got a Nokia 6682, a 2 gig MMC mobile card, and a brand new cingular wireless service. I get the phone out, charge it up, put in the sim card and the memory card, test out some of the trial software, and then decide its time to connect the phone to my computer. The instruction manual simply states to put in the CD-ROM, so I do, and then download the Connection software, so I do. After all that, I restart the computer, and follow the connection instructions: Plug cable into computer, then into phone. Simple enough, eh?

They cant see eachother. One end is in the USB, and one end in the phone port, and neither can see the other. If I hit Synch on the phone, it corrects its time and such with the computer, but the computer still cant see it.

I decided to manually download the Cable drivers from Nokia's website, and restart my computer after installing them. I restart it with the cable connected, and without it connected, and neither time does my computer realise that there is a phone hanging off of it.

HELP ME! I just got this phone today, and I really want to put music and movies and such on there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PS: If anyone wants to suggest some beginners software for Symbian 60 phones, please do, as I really want this to use the "smart" part of the smartphone capability.
