Need Help

My wife and I originally had service with Cellular One (Western Wireless) and had Nokia 6255i phones. One of the phones developed hinge cracks and was sent to Nokia for repair/replacement. After a drawn out back and forth dealing with Nokia a refurbished was provided. During the lengthy process my wife and I changed carriers. My wife currently has an Alltel 6255i (she likes the model). This phone has developed hinge cracks also.

We want to be able to use the ex Western Wireless phone if the cracks get worse (it has never been activated), but Alltel says they can't make it work. Is there any way this phone can be converted to Alltel service?

Phone needs to be unlocked. I can not help you with that cause I don't know how.

Yep you need to get your phone unlocked - there might be a local service that will do it if you're lucky otherwise price check online.
