Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- On the computer, launch iTunes and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on an Android device.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the desired contact and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is complete, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the PC and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- After the backup is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email to your own address
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android .The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Once done, launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
