I have a panasonic gu87 and there is a 50kb limit on the mid files. I have one that is 88kb & would like to somehow make it smaller. Any IDeas??

I tried GNMIDI and i tried compressing the MIDI which made it 15 kb smaller. What else can i do to the midi with out making it sound bad. I need about 25kb smaller.

a 50K mid tune is probably about 5 minutes in length use anvilstudio to cut out the bit you want.

Agree,
That size file must the whole song.
Best to just cut 20 seconds out of the chorus or intro.
I use Anvil, PSMplayer and Cakewalk.
Once you get the hang of it, PSMplayer is probably the simplest.
The other two are good for modifying instruments etc. within the midi.

I use PSMplayer to shorten it or to remove some instrumental track.

and i think the latest PSM player cna even make .mfm
