Hey people! I just want to know why I can't transfer my contacts from my SIM card, I use to have it in my Moto V3i and now I have it on my BB8100 but I can't add contacts from it

    Re: Add contacts from SIM

If they are still on you SIM card then follow these steps to copy them over.

    1. Go to Contacts

    2. Click on Menu, then click on SIM Phone Book

    3. If you contacts are on the SIM Card this will pull them up

    4. Click Menu again, then click on Copy All to Address Book

This will then copy all of you SIM contacts into you phone address book, the SIM card only hold the name and number so you will have to enter in any additional information that you want. Also keep in mind that the BlackBerry does not hold your contacts on the SIM card so if they are important to you then be sure to use the Desktop Software to back them up to a computer.

If none of these steps worked because you have an older model BlackBerry then you can go to a Retail Store that has a contact transfer machine and they will be able to do this for you. Some places change for this but most of the company owned stores do not.
Hope this helps, also be sure to check out my web site and blog for my tips and tricks
