i have a blackbery pearl i want to sell on ebay, it is the type without a simcard, i have wiped it clean and erased all data but the "my number" still displays my number, how do i get rid of that? its a verizon

have you tried going into Options and then modifying the info under Owner?

one more thing, when you go into the phonebook under options you can change show "My Number" as no - I'm not sure if this is necessary or not once you have taken care of the info under options

its still there because you are still using it!!! what i mean is, that number is showing up there because you are still connected with verizon. Cancel your service, or change your number to a new device. Then the number will no longer be functional on the blackberry. Although, the number might not disappear as i think it stays there until a new service book is sent to the phone.
