Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the BlackBerry DTEK60 to your computer via USB
- Turn on Media Device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC storage and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms directories
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the Apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound
- Tap Phone ringtone under Call Ringtone & Vibrate
- Choose the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
- Optionally, you can enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the phones internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > Menu
- Tap Set ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings
- Go to Sound & notification under Device
- Under Sound, tap Default Notification Sound
- Select the notification sound you want to use
- Tap OK
Enable / Disable Gmail Notifications:
- Launch Gmail
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Select an email account to change its notification settings
- Tap the Notification check box ON or OFF
