Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Navigate to the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and transfer the desired files to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” directories
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound & Notification”
  3. Select the ringtone you want to assign and tap “OK”
  4. Optionally, you can choose to enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the phone’s memory or the SIM card.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change the Notification Alert Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone”
  4. Select the desired notification alert
  5. Tap “OK”
