Lads & lasses,
I'm looking for some advice on my current bellM plan;
500 minutes
no charge long distance across Can & US
$4.00 - message centre
$6.00 - touchbase (20 free calls a month to number of my choice)
I qualify for 2% off my bill as a preferred customer.
My total damage is $60+$4+$6+911/System access = $80 to $85/monthly.
In order to keep me BellM is offering msg centre & touchbase to me for 12 months (ie. $120 value) BUT they want me to sign for
36 months.
I also qualify for $150 towards a new phone if I sign for 3 yrs.
or $125 if I sign for 2 years.
I hate to throw all this in everyone's face BUT I really would like some advise, basically I want to know if I can get a bigger bang for my buck. Your help is appreciated!!!!

not to be rude or anything, but you may get a better response if you posted this in the bell thread.

All that matters is what you pay for what you use.
I mean if I offered you:
50 minutes a month for $1.
or
Unlimited calling to anywhere in the world and Unlimited Data with all the extras for $500 a month
Would either of those be a good deal? For some people they would be amazing deals. But, probably not for you.
So what do you use? (daytime/nighttime/weekend/data/CD/VM/LD/etc)

Chillin'
I use the phone for work - I'm in sales & as a result on the road.
75% of my minutes would be used in the daytime, with 20% used
during the evenings & 5% on weekends. I don't use the
phone for data/internet/e-mail. But I do need Long distance in Canada as our company has plants located throughout Canada
which I would need to call during the daytime.
So any thoughts?
Thanks.

If you use exactly 500 minutes per month, and all of them are LD, then your best option is the Canadian One Rate plan: $60 gives 500 minutes anywhere in Canada. (yes, exactly the same as you currently get) plus VM for $5 or CD & VM & 75 SMS for $9.
There are many other options such as: your first 1 minute of your first 400 calls free for $8/month.
or depending on how much of your calling is LD, you could take a "normal" plan with a LD add on, such as: for $4 per month all LD is only $0.15/min or for $12 per month get 100 minutes of included LD.
