Turning Wi-Fi On or Off

Tip: If you want to increase your battery life, always turn Wi-Fi OFF when not actively using it.

1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Menu key.
2. Then tap Settings and turn the Wi-Fi switch to ON or OFF as desired.
3. Another method to turn Wi-Fi On is to open the Notification bar and tap Wi-Fi to turn it On or Off.
4. If you turn the Wi-Fi on and you are located in range of an opened network, then your Samsung Galaxy Express will automatically connect to that particular network.

Turning Bluetooth On or Off

Tip: To increase your battery life, always turn Bluetooth off when not actively using it.

1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings and then turn the Bluetooth switch to On or Off, as desired.
3. Or you can simple drag the Notification panel down and tap the Bluetooth icon.

Turning Mobile Hotspot On

Note: A Mobile Hotspot plan may be required in order to use your device as a hotspot, so it’s recommended to contact your customer care for assistance.

1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Menu key.
2. Then tap Settings -> tap More settings -> tap Tethering and portable hotspot.
3. Then turn the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot switch to On to enable this setting.
4. Tap Portable Wi-Fi hotspot -> Configure.
5. Tap Network SSID and enter a name for your Wi-Fi hotspot.
6. Tao Hide my device if you don’t want your hotspot to be accessed by unwanted persons.
7. Tap Security and select the security option you’re most comfortable with. You can choose None or WPA2PSK, however, it’s highly recommended to enable security to prevent unwanted access to your hotspot.
8. Tap Password and enter a password for your hotspot.

Turning Mobile Hotspot Off

1. Go to the Home screen -> drag the Notification panel down and tap Tethering or hotspot active.
2. Then turn the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot switch to Off.
3. And if you want to return to the Home screen, press the Home key.
