Saving Contacts?

I'm trying to save my contacts so I can set my phone back to factory default because it reboots once or twice a day so Samsung told me to download KIES and save my contacts but on my manual (Galaxy Reverb) page 36 it say to import/export so I tried both ways but I still couldn't save my contacts. Which is the best way and I wonder what I did wrong? So could someone tell me how can I save my contacts so I can put my phone back to factor default?

If you have your phone connected to Google then your contacts are already backed up. All you have to do is reconnect your phone to google after you do a restore.
