Can no longer download photos and videos from Galaxy SIII

I have the add-on Mac software for Android, and for nearly 2 years I've plugged in my phone to my USB port and I've been able to download my photos.

Today that stopped working.

And for some reason I can access files in all other areas EXCEPT camera. I can download files from other areas on the phone but NOT Camera - I'm told it won't work and if the front screen is locked (it's not) I should unlock it.

My photos are on the CAMERA and not the CARD.

Has me totally baffled. Any ideas?

Did you switch the USB mode on the phone? It should be in the notification menu after you connect it to the computer.

Make sure you have the latest software installed. If so uninstall it, reboot, reinstall, reboot. In the mean time, cycle phone off & on. Then try to re-establish USB connections.

Which software to you mean. That Android File Transfer on my Mac?

Remember this has worked for nearly 2 years... up to last week. When I tried today: nada.

Swipe down the notification menu (at the top of the screen). Select the USB connection and there should be different modes to choose from.

software updates occur all the time, you may not even realize it has happened. I would check for updates on both
