Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a connection between your K Zoom and computer via USB
  2. Drag the "Status" bar down on the smartphone, and tap "Connected as a media device"
  3. Mark the "Media device" check box
  4. On the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  5. Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the audio files are located on the computer
  6. Copy the desired files, and paste them on your phone's storage
  7. Once the transfer is done, safely disconnect your smartphone

Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: follow the first 2 steps only if you don't have Samsung Kies installed on the Mac computer

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac and visit Kies
  2. Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation
  3. Connect the K Zoom to the Mac via USB
  4. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
  5. Mark the "media device" check box
  6. On the computer, launch Kies
  7. From Kies, click the "Folder" icon associated with "Internal memory" or "External memory"
  8. On the Mac, navigate to where the desired audio files are stored on the computer
  9. Drag the audio files and drop them into Kies
  10. Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the Mac

Adding Audio Files to Use as Ringtones and Notification Sounds

Adding Sound Files to the Ringtone List:

  1. Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Access the "My device" tab
  4. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
  5. Tap "Add" and select "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
  6. Tap "Always" or "just once"
  7. Select the desired audio file and tap "OK"

Adding Sound Files to the Notification List:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on a home screen
  2. Tap "My files" > "All files"
  3. Navigate to the recently transferred sound files
  4. Tap and hold the desired file and select "Copy"
  5. Select "Device storage" and open the "Notifications" folder
  6. Tap "Paste here"

Setting Custom Ringtones and Notification Sounds

Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Access the "My device" tab
  4. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"

Changing the Ringtone for a Specific Contact:

NOTE: you can't assign custom ringtones to contacts that are stored on the SIM card or the phone's internal memory

  1. Tap the "Contacts" icon
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap the "Edit" icon depicting a pencil
  4. Tap "Ringtone"
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"
  6. Tap "Save" to apply the changes

Changing the Notification Sound:

  1. Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Access the "My device" tab
  4. Tap "Sound" > "Notifications"
  5. Select the desired notification sound and tap "OK"
