Blocking Messages

From "Settings":

  1. Open the "Messages" application
  2. Press "Menu" and go to the app's "Settings" screen
  3. Mark the "Spam filter" check box
  4. Tap "Add to spam numbers" > "+"
  5. Enter the phone number whose messages you want to block. (You can also block a contact from your phonebook)
  6. Tap "Save"

Block Messages:

  1. Open the "Messages" app
  2. From the main screen, tap and hold the message thread containing the contact you want to block messages from
  3. Press "Menu" > "Add to spam numbers"
  4. Tap "OK" to confirm

Unblocking Messages:

  1. Launch the "Messages" application
  2. Press "Menu" and tap "Settings" > "Spam filter"
  3. Tap "Add to spam numbers"
  4. Tap and hold the number you wish to unblock and tap "Delete"
  5. Press "OK" to confirm

Unblocking Messages from a Message Thread:

  1. Launch the "Messages" app
  2. Tap and hold the conversation thread containing the blocked number / contact
  3. Press "Menu" > "Remove from spam numbers"
  4. Tap "OK" to confirm

Call Blocking

Blocking Calls:

  1. Open the "Phone" application
  2. Access the "Logs" screen
  3. Press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
  4. Access "Call" and tap "Call rejection"
  5. Tap "Auto reject list" > "Create"
  6. Tap the "Contacts" icon and follow one of the steps below:
    • To write down and block a number:
      1. Type the phone number you wish to block
      2. Make sure the "Exactly the same as" option is checked. Otherwise, you can tap "Starts with" to block numbers from a certain area code or network etc.
      3. Tap "Save"
    • To block a phone number or contact from the call log:
      1. Launch the "Contacts" app
      2. Access the "Logs" screen
      3. Tap the number you want to block and tap "Save"

Unblocking a Number:

  1. Launch the "Phone" app
  2. Access the "Logs" screen and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Settings" > "Call" > "Call rejection"
  4. Tap "Auto reject list" and perform one of the following:
    • To allow calls but keep the phone number in the block list: clear the check box associated with the blocked number
    • To allow calls and remove the blocked number from the block list: tap the "trash can" icon, tap the number and press "Done"
