Enable Power Saving Mode:

NOTE: Power saving mode can limit the CPU performance, reduce the frame rate and screen brightness, disable vibrations and so on - all of which can lead to improvements in battery life.

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and under "System" tap "Battery"
  3. Tap "Power saving mode" and swipe the slider to "ON"
  4. Adjust when the Power saving mode should enable automatically (choose a battery percentage)

Enable Ultra Power Saving Mode:

NOTE: Ultra Power Saving Mode can tremendously improve battery life by simplifying the operating system, restricting app usage to essential apps, turn off mobile data when the screen is off and much more. The AMOLED screen can also be turned to greyscale for even more power efficiency.

  1. Tap "Apps" and go to "Settings"
  2. Swipe to "System" and tap "Battery"
  3. Set the "Ultra power saving mode" switch to "ON"
  4. Tap "Agree"
  5. Tap the "+" icons to add the desired apps to the home screen

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
  3. Tap "Display"
  4. Tap "Screen timeout" and select a lower value
  5. Press "Back", go to "Brightness" and lower the brightness level

Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, GPS and Wi-Fi Calling:

NOTE: It's recommended to disable the phone's connectivity features when they are not in use. This can improve battery life.

  1. Tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Connections"
  4. Select the services that you wish to disable, such as Wi-Fi, GPS, and so on

Change the Sync Settings for Apps:

  1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Under "Personal" tap "Accounts"
  3. Select the desired account and clear the check boxes associated with the apps you wish to stop syncing
  4. After finishing selecting / deselecting the desired sync options, press "Menu" > "Sync now"

Disable Background Data:

  1. From the "Settings" screen, scroll to "Connections"
  2. Tap "Data usage" > "More"
  3. Tap "Restrict background data" > "OK"

Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

NOTE: Unused third party apps can still have an effect on your phone's battery performance, so it's recommended that you disable or remove them to save battery life.

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Applications" > "Application manager"
  4. Access the "Downloaded" screen
  5. Select the desired app and tap "Uninstall" twice to confirm

Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

  1. From the "Settings" menu, swipe to "Connections"
  2. Tap "More connection settings"
  3. Tap "Mobile networks" > "Network mode"
  4. Select "GSM only"
  5. To return to 4G LTE, select "LTE / WCDMA / GSM (auto connect)" or "GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)"
