Transfer Audio files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy J2 and computer
- On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- Make sure Media device (MTP) is selected
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your PC and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and / or Notifications folders under Media
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, you need to skip the first 3 steps.
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac to install Kies on the computer
- Next, connect the Galaxy J2 to your Mac via USB
- From the phones notification area, make sure Media device (MTP) is selected
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Inside Kies, click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
- Drag the files and drop them inside Kies
- Once the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop into the trash can to eject it
- Its now safe to disconnect the phone from the USB
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to and tap Sounds and notifications
- Tap Ringtones and sounds > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap Back to save the changes
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
- Launch Contacts
- Select the desired contact and tap Edit
- Tap Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Tap Save
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the Settings menu
- Tap Sounds and notifications under Device
- Under Sound, tap Ringtones and sounds
- Select the desired notification sound
- Tap Back to save the changes
