Use iTunes to Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime.
- Launch iTunes on the PC
- Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
- Click the iPhone in iTunes, and access the Info tab
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Galaxy Amp Prime, sign in with the same Google account if necessary, and allow the account to sync contacts with your device
Share Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and wait for the vCard file to be downloaded on the computer
- After the file is downloaded, perform one of the two steps below:
- Import the vCard via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Galaxy Amp Prime to your PC via USB, make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP), transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can share your contacts via third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the application
- Tap Backup to create a vCard backup file containing your contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Galaxy Amp Prime, open the email, download the vCard attachment, and use Contacts to import it
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for Android and iOS) which can be used to share your iPhone contacts through a peer-to-peer connection without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Galaxy Amp Prime from the Google Play Store
- Open the application on both handsets
- Tap Send on the iPhone
- Tap Contacts and select the desired contacts to share
- Lastly, tap Send and choose a transfer method. Example: you can tap Receive on the Samsung device and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone, or tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the Amp Primes camera to start the transfer
